Rationale

I decided to go with this assignment because the data visualization was much harder to understand, this assignment seemed to be more enjoyable and easier to comprehend then the other one because it involved images such as pictures which I like to use and incorporate as it did the same in my first assignment for this class and had learned how to do so then.

I decided to inc operate you tubes as well as images because I felt the you tubes illustrated what the text was saying at the point which I utilized them, Another reason they were used as it demonstrated that I had learned how to actually do this instead of just copying photographs across which required different approaches when adding them to the map.

I also Included a story branch which lead to different ending, however these didn't go as long as I had hoped due to time constraints and issues with the program that sometimes lead to work, especially text, disappearing. Which only resulted in lengthening the time it took to complete this assignment.

all in all I enjoyed this assignment far more than I thought I would of enjoyed the data visualization it required creative writing and the ability to chose which pictures would best help the text convey a message to the reader.

Instuctions

For this assignment there a few things you should know when reading it. The lines represent the path taken by the character in the narrative which is fictional but applied to real maps and locations around the Canberra area. I used Bubbles to tell the story so when clicked on they will bring up the relevant piece of text needed tpo continue the story much like turning the pages of a book.

I have included pictures to help with the immerse felling of the narrative and in some points you tube clips which I have ensure are referenced which I felt illustrated what the text was saying. I also did this to break up the pattern of text and image and trying to put the old saying "a picture speaks a thousand words" into practise.

There are is also a thumb tact symbol is used this to notify the reader about something without making it part of the narrative and thus creating the feeling that time had passed since we have joined the story which is one of the collapse of the modern Australia due to and economic crisis. This has left the country in a 3rd world and Violent state with the major cites abandoned and people living like strays. Gangs of looter and raiders have also formed and prey upon anyone they can find.

Another thing to note is the Branching of the story which offers to alternate endings depending up on the choice the reader makes and which storyline they wish to follow.
